Hi, I have been offered a Z1000R2 which seems in good if not excellent condition. The only 'issues' with it seem to be a cut off rear mudguard, non standard exhaust (has a black Kerker fitted), non genuine front screen and indicators.
However how can you check that the engine is just not a Z1000J engine fitted? The frame number is correct according to the Zpower website though.
Also how do you price these up value wise as so few of these now about - any ideas gents? Any help would be very much appreciated.

If its a Euro R2 it should have a black chrome 4-2 with Kawasaki badges on the silencers, the same as the Z1000 at the time.
Again if it is a Euro R2 it will have a J in the engine number!
Price wise, I paid three thousand for my R2, it had just been painted, had a new kerker just fitted and new ohlins shocks, it also came with a new uncut rear mudguard, a brand complete tool kit, spare head light,
Have you a picture?

It is nice but not excellent. The engine has been hand painted by the looks of it. Whilst it is a good 'hand job' it still looks like a hand painted engine in places. Some of the paint is cracking as well.
The frame has been powder coated as well and it's not the best job I have seen.

How much would you pay or do you want to pay, at the end of the day its a 30 year old bike and needs a b it of TLC. I'd love a stardust blue one
