frame help

got a 1978 kz1000 b1 frame , its like a ltd , is there any difference between this frame and a 1978 kz1000 a ? i was hopin to build a 78 z1000 a and didnt realise the frame i got was for a ltd .

I believe that the

B1 has loops at the back for the pillion footrests and the a2 has a triangular section, so they are different.

I am not an expert though but have had a quick look at kawasaki.com parts diagrams and you can display all kz1000 models and then compare.

Yep - thats about it - the rear footrest loop & rear brake m/c position.

Good thing about the B1 & B2 ( and Z900 LTD) is the frame rake is untouched - not like the later CSR customes with a steeper rake :!:

My B2 will be turned into a plain Z1000 look-a-like :wink:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

excellent as ever guys now i can start to get it sorted , was worrid abt rake and engine mountings .
