Does the z1r use the same throttle tube as Z1000 a1/2

Hi, need a throttle tube for my 78 z1r , but is a Z1000 a1 a2 the same, i know they are different part numbers but not sure if thats because of the grip that comes with it, any ideas ? Ross

Ross, If we are referring to the same item.... "Throttle Tube"~ the tube that fits on the handle bars you turn to open the throttle, then, I think they are all inter-changeble and are just made to fit the 7/8" (or whatever) handle bars.
The Z1R and A1 & A2 fit inside the accompanying control-switches.
Some may have non-standard quick action mechanism on them!

Yes, talking about the same item. Z1r and z1000 use different throttle cables as well, according to parts books. Seems odd. I have been using quick action throttle as well, fancy going back to original type. And need a tube.
