Hi guys, does anyone know if there should be o rings on the bottom sleeves of the liners on my 1977 z1000 a1, i just ask because there seems to be on the z900 barrels acording to the haynes manual but i have the factory manuel for my bike and theres no mention of them is this right or have i missed something.

How so, ? they look quite handy for sealing the sleeves.

The base gasket stops leaks between barrel & casings.
If the liners are leaking - thats bad news and an "O" ring is a short-term fix :!:
Most people don't bother with them as no leaks are apparent when not fitted. No harm fitting them if you want
