It`s that time of year when i start to think about not riding my bikes so much and wondered what fuel preparations i should be making. The same dilema each year as the fuel could be in the tanks for maybe 6 months:
do i use Ultimate unleaded as i heard recently this more expensive fuel has less ethanol added ?
do i use an addtive/stabilizer ?
which one ?
Or do i just leave it as to be honest i have never had much of a problem

I use putoline fuel stabilizer just to be on the safe side,never had any problems

Peoples options vary.......

#1 Make sure carbs are drained - no matter what fuel/stabilizer you decide to use

#2 Either fully drain tank & swill round with diesel then seal air tight

#3 Fill to brim with fuel & stabilizer - not half full or condensation may collect = rust

#31/2 Ride it all year round

Fuel stabilizers are pretty much the same, i use them in the garden machinery and have used the same stuff in my bikes that you would use in the lawnmower, though these days i keep the bikes running all year and never put them to bed for the winter.
There is an option 4 which piggy neglected to tell you. You could bring your bikes to me and i will run them through the winter for you,

im hoping to run on good days but i always give the bikes a regular start and run for 20mins or so on the drive throughout the winter
