HELP ..

The crank shaft from my Z1000H seems to be missing a nipple locator thingy - sorry I don't really know what to call it. The photo below is of a different shaft ..but it clearly shows a nipple right at the bottom of the photo.

The question is ..Do I need the nipple and if so any ideas about where I can get one or even if its possible to graft one on

do you mean the roll pin that locates the timing advancer? it is still available from kawasaki part no 555A0408 PIN-SPRING,4X8 or you could try a good engineers merchants 4mm x 8mm roll pin
