MOTAD 4-2 exhaust

#1 PostAuthor: Berne Armstrong » Wed Oct 10, 2012 1:59 pm

Guys, anyone out there fitted the 4-2 Motad exhaust to their Z900?

If so, did you have any issues (apart from exhaust gases) with it?

Anyone out there tried to fit one to a Z1000A1/2?

Again, what mods were necessary if you have managed it?

Finally, anyone got a Motad 4-2 for sale?

Thanks for your help.

Berne

When I bought my black XS650 Special it had a Motad 2-1 on it.

Fecking hideous looking, sounded terrible and I needed a "Long Vehicle" marker board on the back as it stuck out about 6 inches beyond the rear wheel!!!

Yes i fitted it to my Z1000A2 but thought it looked crap and it sounded crap,
So its now fitted to my ltd i think it looks much better on that bike
and strangely sounds completly different for the better.

Forgot to say no mods were required on either bike to fit.

Yep. I do not like the look of it either!

We have been on to Motad re getting a new one, but they have not had enough interest in them to make another production run of this exhaust.

Thanks for all the help guys.

If you want 4:2 you could do something like this, the silencers on it are shorty megas but you can get them longer. search reverse cone on ebay, or triton will come up with some ideas
