Trying to clean up some disc carriers and failing miserably (as usual) - appears my trusty AP Racing calipers have warped my discs - bugger !
I have a spare set of rotors and need to clean and refurb them - I tried Nitromors - absolute cr4p ! I reckon if I had spilt my cuppa tea on the disc carrier it would have removed more of the the scabby paint than the Nitromors !!!!!!!!!
Can anyone recommend a good paint stripper - or is it best to get the fine wire wool out and a bit of spit and polish ??
Cheers Tim

I used to buy it in B&Q in London, tried yellow and green ones and orange one was toughest, removed 90% of Z1 casing black coat.
if B&Q dont sell it anymore try them :

Casandra from Glasgow.
She done a stag night I was at years ago.
She was GOOD.
Worth every penny of the 20 notes.
She will be about 60 now I'd imagine.

classic motorcycle mechanics said that too last month , so they did an article on what to buy on ebay or wherever - you can buy the chemical and use it ( with care!)

The chemical is Dichloromethane. It can cause skin burns and is highly toxic if inhaled.

Wickes paint stripper is strong and works.
Much much better than Nitromors and a lot cheaper.
Don't get it on your hands though.

Final word on this guys, for info try Hankloss's link it appears to be old stock and has the magic ingredient, failing that following Flying Tigers advice took delivery a substance that looks and smell suspiciously like Diclor will be using it this weekend Watch this space
