Dear all, any help advise and piping diagrams for how to fit an oil cooler to my Z900 please.
I have picked up myself a hyabusa oil cooler rad and want to find out how I fit it, I have just rebuild my engine using some original Acorn Four race pistons and I think that it may need the oil cooler so am going for this.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually, the oil pressure switch unit (located behind the barrels, under the cam chain adjuster) is replaced with a 2 x take off which is then connected to the oil cooler

just done this on my Z1 so pm me and i'll run you through the process and what to buy.

You would then require the hoses & fittings to suit - Debbens could provide these or you could try -

you can route the pipes in a number of ways..................

There has been various discussion on which way up to mount your cooler. If you mount it with the fittings on top, there will be a lot less oil to 'drain back', making it kinder to the engine on start up.

Wot bear syas - plus your overall engine oil capacity is increased a bit
