A chap round my way, whom I'm trying to get to join our esteemed club, has a rather nice ELR.

It has shox which he believes to be original and thinks were made by Showa

They are leaking like my bank account and he would really like to sort them by replacing the seals at the bottom of the damper rods. He thinks they might be nitrogen filled? After a quick looksie I can't see any filling valves, nor can I see any obvious way of removing the damper rod seals.

Anyone have any experience of servicing/repairing these shocks?

Drop maxton an email they will confirm if they can rebuild them , but MCT Suspension might be a better bet as they are more flexible.

Ralph I looked into this and will try and find the emails. I ended up putting ohlins on mine but the old ones are still in the garage. Any more pics of the bike would be good. JMC swinger and Harris ?
