Powder coat wont work - Ive seen it applied and it will soften.
Try this
http://www.camcoat.u-net.com/Exhausts.htm
Click on prices and it shows the bike exhaust prices.
I am thinking of this for my under seat exhaust, to try & reduce the radiant heat.

Hey Ginger... those pipes looks really nice
Did you do the outside and inside full coating?
What to do when it start to come off again is it just send it back and get them
recoated?
I think I will do that with my Nitro racing exhaust is it just to send it to them, or maybe I should bring them over when coming to Stafford
Anyway very nice looking exhaust
See you all at Stafford

Morton,
Just had the 'economy' outside only version done. Camcoat will probably have a stand at Stafford. It may be possible to deliver your pipes there, but I would check with them first.
Janluke,
Stainless is no problem. The link pipe in my pic was stainless. Aluminium is ok too. Exhaust clamps were also done by Camcoat.

Thanks bear.
I will send them an email!
Have you started up with the pipes yet? Do you know if the heat make some miscolour or whitening to the pipes? The traditional heat paint is no good when it comes to that matter they go white from the heat almost at once

The best I have tried is the one from BMW, but it,s getting hard to find now

Morton,
The surface around the first bend of the headers lost some of it's smoothness, but didn't discolour. Not sure if 14 Dyno runs had anything to do with this or not.
Looked good to the eye, it was only when you ran your hand over it that it was noticeable. Maybe having the insides done would have stopped this
