hi guy,s just wonderd if any of you might be able to shed light on muy problem
just built my lawson back up and there is no spark i got 12v to the coils power at the igniter bot nothing comming out of the ht leads iv canged the coils to ones of my 750 turbo to see if it was the iv also changed the igniter i think must be missing something simple there is all so power in and out of kill switch
i got to chech clutch switch and side stand switch yet ..... do i just join tho wires at the stand together to take the switch out the loop

hi russ thanks for reply i just changed the pick ups for a spare set i got and still nothing now the motor has stopped turning over too must be something on the saftey switch or some thing its done my head in today iv give up for now bloody wiring i hate it

Eyup mate I know how you feel.
If the motors not turning I would think this is the clutch switch or wiring toit. Mine wont turn if the clutch isn't pulled in. If you short the right wires out this will bypass any switches. I'de be tempted to check them all with a multimetre. Good luck Bob.

Agree with Russ, these "safety cut-out" switches can be a pain, I always remove ,em from any of my bikes. Some of the side-stand switches have 3 wires, and only 2 need joining (eg: GSXR) so you'll need to check wiring diagram
Check these out first, and kill switch, along with fuses & double check all connections, as these often corrode, and it don't take much to stop 'em working
Keep at it and you'll crack it, just be patient

hi guys my LAWSON LIVES again thanks for replys played about with all wiring again went through full loom tested and cleaned everything on i got a nice blue spark filled carbs with fresh fuel and she fired ticked over great but think carbs stll need work plus waiting for new airbox rubbers from z power then its just the paintwork to do

Hi Bob,good to hear that you stuck with it and got it running again.
The joys of 20+ year old wiring.
If you want your carbs striping and ultra-sonically cleaning,the bike shop I use do excellent job.The only down side being it will probably lift the black paint off the carbs.
