z650 single sided or mono shock info wanted please

#1 PostAuthor: Koreanbaz » Sat Sep 08, 2012 5:35 pm

I've been searching but don't seem to be getting far, but there must be some.

I'm looking for a picture of a Z650 with either a single sided swing arm or a mono shock.

questions being,

Which swing arm?

you did well young Luke.

However the first link won't let me in as not a member and the second is of a Z1

I have also found similar whilst Googling and surfing. but Z650 seem more illusive , but thank you and I'll join the first link sight in search of my quest

I've moved this to 'Bike help'.

But it would be useful to know how wide your original swinger is at the 'pivot point'.

Second is actually a Z650 frame with an 1100 engine in, it does not have the mount on the lower frame rail under the engine.

GPZ750 unitrac arm might fit, you need to get a tape measure out and go check a few arms, at the end of the day there will be lots that fit, just depends how much work you want to do.

I had a z650 b model with a complete gpz600r rear end.

fitted into the frame fine.It was however a 16" rear wheel .The bearings were just a mix of 650 and 600r parts

In fairness I also had a gpz750 unitrack engine ,not an 1100 but I only had to have the cush drive machined to run the chain straight
