Got home lunchtime and this was on my drive.

"It was daylight robbery I tell ya!!!"

Anywho, I've never fitted one of these so what do I need to do to drop the front and rear into a Z or GPZ frame?

Thanks in advance Amigos

My advice take this rolling chassis and your frame give them to Tony at Pitstop Motorcycles. Wait for the phone call and collect all sorted.

If you are going to do it yourself speak to Steve Cundall (big green bus) he has at some point tried most variations of front and rear ends on to the GPZ ELR frames and I am sure will see you right with some useful advice.

look forward to seeing the end result.

Cheers Ian.

I wasn't sure if it was almost a straight fit with some bushes etc for the rear and maybe a bearing or stem change for the front.

I don't mind doing it myself I was curious to see if somebody had done it already and could shed some light rather than me waste time looking into it when it has been done before.

Saw ehat on ebay and asked the missus if I could buy it...she said of course...if you have somewhere to put it.

For £200 I was going to take it to peices and flog it separately. Recon there's an easy £400 in there...maybe more

But seeing as the garage is impenetable and the Big Shed is twice as bad,.. I had tp pass.

Wasn't surprised to see it had been snapped up.

Yeah I told my wife that I was having some parts delivered.

Didn't get it undercover fast enough!!!!!!!!!

By the look on her face she was not impressed.

I had to explain the cost of the purchase against the sum of the parts.

She probably thought I was bullshitting anyway but I think I got away with it.

I reckon sell all the Z1100R parts and fit these instead.

Wotcha reckon?

I've also got a 1395 motor somewhere :D

Hi, I have ZRX 1100 swinging arm fitted and 1200 forks fitted with wheels. Rear end simple fit, you just need a sleeve made up to take into account the smaller diameter Z swinging arm spindle. Some people have extended the upper shock mounts but I found that mine were fine. The front end I had a set of yokes made up but I think that the 1200 yokes are near enough a straight fit.

Hi Rob.

Just the sort of answer I was after

Thanks very much.

Why did I think the ZRX1100 front will just go in with a bearing swap or something just as easy

My 1200 front end went straight into a J frame.

Gus, yes I think it will. If I remember correctly it fitted okay but it might need a spacer. I didn't use this in the end, so I can't remember exactly what the issues were if any.
