				headlamp blowing

				what could be making my headlamp blow, its not the pilot light or the high beam just the main light part of the bulb,
 and which wire is it , is it red/yellow or black/yellow

				On the Z1/Z900's Black/Yellow is the earth, Red/Black is high-beam & Red/Yellow is dip beam.
Originally there was a resistor, 0.5 ohm 20W, fitted in series with the dip beam on all European models.

				I think Red/Black is high, Red/Yellow is low and Black/Yellow is earth, if it's only the low beam check through the Red/Yellow starting with the connection to the bulb itself and work back it's probably shorting out somewhere where the live and earth are close, Headlamp/connector blocks/handlebar switch gear.
I lost both main beams myself in Germany which turned out to be a break in the wire just where it enters the fuse box, I don't think it'll be that on yours as I think the Z1 is a little different.

				Check battery voltage at about 2.5k revs should be 14.6 volts dc,if not and is higher could be voltage regulator faullty

Dont let Jimmock here ya say that 
 
 
Vibration was my issue - I changed out the headlamp rubbers & since then Ive had no more bulbs blow.
