Cheers,

Its held on by a roll pin, knock the old one out and fit the new cap and tap the pin back in

Use a small punch to gently knock the old roll pin out, slightly smaller in diameter than the pin.

Bongo,

Remembr don't t**t it too hard------ you will bend the flimsy welded bracket that holds it to the tank and then the new one will not sit straight-----you have been warned, apply some patience more than brute force

Bongo. What worked for me was the flat screwdriver on a penknife. Insert it into the key slot and wiggle it about a little to make sure you have released all of the lock wafers. Then turn - clockwise i think. I posted a blog entry on my web site http://cheeme.weebly.com/1/post/2012/06/seized-fuel-cap.html

Hi Shaun,
Thanks for your info but I've got the key and it opens fine.
It just that it is scabby and I'm going to change it for a sparkly one.
