A couple of questions please.

Trying to get the side panel badges off my A4 .Can see the little metal washer on the inside but mine look as if they are on to stay.Is it possible to get them off undamaged ?

Plus pretty new to Zeds so thinking about a workshop manual .Anyone got any recommendations .Thanks g

The metal washers you describe are spring clips which locate into grooves in the badge posts. They do come off if you lever them very carefully with something like a flat screwdriver but will probably be damaged so you'll need to get new ones when refitting the badges.

best if you use 2 thin screwdrivers from opposite sides.once you get the first 1mm movement upward it all gets easier. If you're lucky you could reuse them , but better to use a 3mm blob of araldite on the badge pin after you've pressed them on the second time of using, to prevent mishap. Araldite will dry brittle and can then be removed with pliers before you want the badges off next time.

You can find a workshop manual pretty easily on the internet for free, but I found a Haynes manual pretty helpful to use as well. Also purchased this, which is a really well done repro, with fast delivery.
