hi, looking for a m/ cylinder for my z1r. like the idea of a zxr one , then could match up with a hydraulic clutch.. but i am in the process of trying to make the the brackets for the fairing / clocks on my bandit front end.

and i need the height to the top of the reservoir from the top of the bars. so i can see if i can fit one under the fairing, or make another set of brackets [ on the 4th set so far ]

are 1100 / 1200 zr /zrx higher or lower, the same ?
any help appreciated as would like to retain the fairing, but not the cable operated brakes. cheers ross

The top of the ZRX reseviour doesn't sit flat ( parralel) with the handlebars and is forward ogf the handle bar....I'm guessing that they just used a ZZR item..

But the shortested distance to the top of the resevoir to the handle bar is 40mm. To the farthest poit of the reseviour top is 59mm.

So I'd guess that they usable position is somewhen in between...I'd guess @ nearly 50mm.

If that makes no sense, I'll try to put a picture up later.

Bugger !!!!
Max height I have is 20 mm from bars to fairing and looks good. Trying to align side of fairing with rake of forks without it all sitting 3 inch above bars, then clocks / lock look daft.... Could do with ones virtually in line with bars. Cheers for looking :-)

thanks for the info, so with std z1r bars , which are flat / straight where they will bolt up,the zr / zrx master cyinder tops will be at an angle.
i did want them flat / paralell with the bars. might try one off a z1000r / z1100r. which are flat , and hopefully up to the job with nissan 4 pots.... cheers ross

Get a slightly lower set of bars it drops low enough to fit a Round Master Res thus

not sure if thats a help or not //// the bars were a set of Triumph/BSA ones got from Stafford one year I even drilled em to take the wires
you could sell me the Z1R ones then :D :up
