#1 PostAuthor: KeithZ1R » Thu May 24, 2012 8:48 am

Finaly extracted the baffle out of the Kerker after some musing and head scratching oh and a lot of swearing . it finaly relinquished its hold after being persuaded from the header end with a metre length of 25mm round bar and some gravity tapping  Lots of loose wadding fell out in bits so suggestions please for a suitable replacement for same it looks and feels like glass fibre :?:

or you could try

http://www.thermalvelocity.co.uk/

Clever packing that comes flat (so it's easy to fit) and then expands when hot (the threads holding the quilt together melt) to fill the can. There's a calculator on the site where you fill in the dimensions of your silencer and it tells you how much you need to put in.

Not tried it yet but I ordered a load yesterday and hoping it turns up quickly as my Millie was measured at 103dB and I'm hoping to take her to Snett on Tuesday where the limit's 102 :??
