Brake lever mounting stud

I have just wrung the stud off the frame on my Z900 A4 that retains the brake arm on the mount. Does anyone know if it is mounted through the frame( like footrest studs) or is it integral to the frame and therefore needing to have a new stud welded. I have just had the frame painted and do not want to have to scrape away more than neccesary

Damn thing felt like it was made of cheese when it sheared...

hi bill if it is this stud in your photo it is part of the pedal mounting which is part of the frame i would drill the mounting out to 8mm + insert a 8mm stud

I had forgotten that I had put these up. Yes it is that stud. Was refitting the brake arm this afternoon and it turned off not much more than finger tight. Guess I will have too do the drill thing - pity is that its a rolling chassis now so drilling will need a steady hand...

easy job mate just grind the stud flat to the pedal mount. then find the centre then drill + tap out to the desired thread size
