Fork Length

#1 PostAuthor: mole » Sat Jun 30, 2007 3:20 pm

Can anyone tell me the standard length of a Z900 ('73 ish) fork from wheel centre to top of stanchion, please? I've got a chop project going and, after much head-scratching, I've worked out that the front end is off a Z900 or Z1 (the rest of it is CB750 SOHC....). The forks look lengthened but I can't be sure. They are 895mm long and 35mm dia.

Thanks,

Brian

The distance from the wheel centre to the top of the fork tube is approx 770 cm when on centre stand. A standard fork tube length for a Z1/ Z900 when measured dissassembled from fork leg is 615cm.
