Z1 tail unit

Hi thinking of changing the tail unit of my Z1000 for an early replica Z1 unit

what are the extra holes on the earlier units , is it for the lens or wires the lower holes obviously attaching to frame bracket

Think the holes are for rubber dampers for tool tray.
It will fit no problem.maybe need earlier tool tray/not sure.

OK thanks have to re-check my tail unit again, what with my tail tidy sure that tray would get in the way of the light unit ?

tool trays are different - the earlier Z1 has a bigger taper on it so the later ones are too wide at the back (if that makes sense)

differnt curve so the seat wont fit as good looking at it from the rear,so youmight want to change that to

This is my A1 with Z1 tailpiece and tailtidy fitted showing the contour of the seat against the tail.
