Jules, can you post some pics of your carbs
The choke/air filter side is the most important.
Also CV carbs work best with an airbox.
The 1000J,1000R2 and the 1100R all run BS34 carbs but there are slight differences between them.
The 1100R runs different jet sizes between the inner and outer cylinders as standard.
Some 750 models also run 34 mm Mikunis.

If you need a different set of carbs I have a couple of sets that need to go. Opposite ends of spectrum in terms of cost. Cheap end set of GSXR flatslide CVs jetted and float adjusted for GPz1100 engine. Came off my Moto Martin. Will need a good clean.
If you have cash to splash I have a set of RS34 flatslides again jetted for 1100 engine. You will need new rubbers inlets from Debbens but they are the dogs bollox.
Will be putting both in for sale section over weekend
