On the topic....
With reference to illustrations of pilot jets at ... GingerBear's....
http://www.motocarb.co.uk/
Under "Pilot & air jets."
I do know that ~
early Z1 carbs (17mm screw btm) use Pilot jets...VM28/213.
other Z1 series use Pilot jets... VM28/486.
Never knew that there was a different Pilot jet N224.103 (2.4 Dia bleed tube).
Could any one tell me, which type of Mikuni pilot jet is suitable for 29mm smoothbores?
Also, what type do Z1R & Mk2 28 mm pilot jets?

Thanks Rich, you are indeed correct..... Had trouble getting them out. Finally, I took them out after soaking in WD and took the risk of stuffing the slot of the jet by applying enormous turning torque.
Funnily enough, two centre jets were 15 , two outer were 17.5? Or was it vice-versa?
Paul Mc, Thanks for allowing me to butt into your posting. I would assume the Mikuni smoothbore 35mm have the same type of pilot jet as the 29's [VM22/210]

Yes they can be a ******* to get out, if you do strip the screw slots off one, drill the jet out to the ID of the thread, the jet tip will fall out and it is easy enough to chase the remaining bits of thread out of the body.

I usually buy from Jeff at Z1. Allens are more interested in the modern stuff and twice as expensive as Z1 but please check them out yourself.
