Z1b 1975 paint colour

Please can anyone help with the colour of my bike, it is dark green with black stripes outlined in white pin stripes with the candy colour a long the bottom of the tank and the tail section turned up at the end. the green is not the Z900 colour, Z-power say candy red and candy blue were the colours for 1975, I have seen other Z1bs this colour i need to get some toutch up thanks steve

Are you sure it's not a re-paint?. (log book could have been changed)

Correct colours - candy red and candy blue

Steve, I believe you probably have a standard blue or maroon Z1B. I have seen many of these candy paints, that over the years and in different environments change colour mostly to green. I do think, if you carefully look under the tank and under seat area of the tank-set you will find vague remnants of the real original colour.

Having said that, the original blue is the hardest of all to reproduce, I recently purchased a new Z1B tank set from PMC/ Doremi which, imho was the perfect match of the original.
