Sealing the stator wires

#1 PostAuthor: MotoV4 » Mon Apr 09, 2012 4:22 pm

Looking for advice on this. I have had to take the stator cover off for other reasons but there was a slight leak at the point the wires exit anyhow so trying to deal with that at the same time. I've got as far as cleaning the old gasket sealer off and was going to clean the oil off it and reseal it but as I didnt do a good job in the first place I was wondering if someone has done a few of these and knows the best way to ensure a good seal at the grommet where the 3 yellows go through.
Cheers

get the wires as clean as possible, then apply silicon ,leave off the motor to dry then put back together, with a bit of gasket goo to seal around casing.
