Spoked wheels best place to have them rebuilt.

#1 PostAuthor: Padders » Tue Jun 26, 2007 5:40 pm

I have a set of front and rear hubs on the way from the good old USA. When they arrive I want to get them laced with a 4.25 rear rim still 18 inch and an 18 inch front rim. Alloy rims if possible put chrome steel ones if needs be. Anyone have a supplier they would recommend.

Cheers padders

Padders,I used a guy in Derby many years ago and he was great.
I'm pretty sure the business was called DERBY WHEELBUILDING and I think the address was Peel Street.
The guy was into Triumphs but also had a Z900 as well :D
Well worth the effort tracking him down.

Did my A65 way back, he was good but I don't think he is there any more, if you do find his number let me have it.

Hi ya
Best Guys I have ever come across were a firm in Devon called Devon Rim.

http://www.devonrimcompany.com/

They built some bespoke wheels for my "Low Rider" the other year. They do cost, but thier work is second to none.
Hope that may be of help?
Regards,
Lil Hagrid

Agree with UK KEV, Central Wheel are very good, but not cheap.
They do all the wheels for the National M/C Museum too.
Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.
