Ack Ack, ooh errr missus....

When fitting new inlet manifold rubbers, those that sit between carbs and cylinder head, do people use any sort of jointing compound / sealant, or is just the new rubber against the cleaned inlet port face enough to create a good leak-free joint?

New inlet manifold! You may wish to put in new retaining screws as well?
Make sure you get the correct length retaining screws for them. The top screws on the manifold/ head are blind holes and can bottom-out before they tighten the manifold. I've been caught on this one!
