Shock Mount Extensions

#1 PostAuthor: Seawolf » Fri Mar 16, 2012 10:16 pm

Hi, having fitted a ZRX swinger to a KZ1000 frame the shocks lean in at the top due to the frame being narrower than the swingarm. Does anyone know of an extension available for the top mount or will I need to get one fabricated?

Regards Steve.

You'll need to get some longer pins made like we did here or i seem to recall someone making screw on adapters but I don't recall who or where they posted about it. The ZRX arms is a lot wider unsurprisingly.
The original shock mounts are in unbelievably flimsy plate once you start to cut them out you may wonder how they ever held the bike up....
