I bought this bike as is. I have no spark. Is their a common part that goes bad on these. Where is the best place to start. Thanks for help.

does it have a side stand switch + have you got 12v at the coils

I had the Z1000 H which I think is similar to the G. As I recall it had a ballast resistor slung between the coils - that played up once or twice causing similar problems. Worth checking the connections there as a matter of course.

From what i've seen the double relay under the LH side panel is suspect and the connectors to the airflow meter and brain need close scrutiny.

I too have an H and pretty much everything electrical is suspect.
