Anyone know how many different 'Z' models the JMC Braced swinging arm on my Z1b will fit on without any mods ?...
Might buy another z1-z1000 or ??? and put mine back to standard..

Haven't put a picture in for a while.
This was one of the neatest I've seen and still maintain the standard original look without being too radical. George1 or 2 passed it to me about a year or two ago.

I understand that this is a 'moded' from the original and will require a lot less fitting than some of the exotic 'alloy' examples available. I also understand this is not an answer to the question you asked, however, it was good practice to get a photo up!

Very tidy mod if i my say so. Garn now you can post pic's time to get your bikes on and give the lads a look.

There appears to be a plate with two holes on the brace in the picture shown, what are they for? they would be on the underside when fitted.

To answer Z1B'kwacker's question. I believe your Z1b braced swing arm would only foit the Z1, Z1a , Z900 A4 and Z2. The later Z 1000 and LTD series all had rear disc brakes and hydraulic line brackets and brake torque rods bracket, would neen to have the swingarm modified. Albeit slightly.

Not sure about the H2, although this ain't a Z. Not sure about other Z's around the era of smaller capacities.

With regards to the picture above, Pigford is correct, as I recall, that little block is nylon, painted black and neatly recessed and bolted in place. It is probably more a chain protector to protect the lower chain run, than a guide.

Thanx, that's all I wanted to know...(got my eyes on a pair of A4's in bits, keeps threatening to sell them to me but i'm still waiting)....
