Can anyone identify my forks
they have K207 stamped on them between the mudguard fixings.

Bracket below caliper mounts, makes me think they are Z1R forks.

could also be z650

not z1r the ribs between mounts are thicker on z1r

z1000a1 fork legs are the same part no as these other models

Z650 fork bottoms (disc) are casting K207 with a wire circlip above the bush.
Z1R fork bottoms are also casting k207 but have no wire circlip.
other than that they are the same part and otherwise identical.

Years ago when looking for new Z1R fork bushes i discovered that they were not available seperately and was told by kawasaki that i had to buy the complete lower leg for ££££££.

After much investigation i found that the Z650 bushes were available seperately (hence the wire circlip) and were exactly the same part as were the lowers.

The bloke at bol'd'or was very surprised as a lot of new Z1R's had play in the bushes from new (poor quality control) and at that time they had been replacing the entire lowers on some machine before they could leave the showroom.

z1bman I don`t how early H1s are listed as using the same bottoms because they used drum brakes

the information i posted was from babbitts site + yes you are right in that the early h1a + mach111 did have drum brakes

Are the fork tubes thicker on a z1r to a z1000 a1 i have a pair of z1r forks and they look thicker but have nothing to measure them

well the z1r forks i have are not same as my z1000 or z900 and i have just wasted forty quid thinking they were the same the tubes are thicker i had a set of dust seals made in billet alloy to replace the rubber ones so i gave the engineer a z1r fork leg he done a really nice job and they are to big on my z1000 fork legs so i have taken my z1000 forks to him he is going to make me another set. and i can not just swap them over because they will not fit my billet top yoke also the thread is diffrent on top of the fork leg so i have been told

All forks from Z1 to Z1R (Z1000D) are 36mm dia stanctions which are the subject of this thread.
Maybe you have confused these with the later 1100R or J type which are thicker.
