Thanks for that.
Is that the self generating ignition with alt added on top or just an alt ?
I've been emailing Electrex for weeks for pic's and it's like getting blood out of a stone.
Their last reply was "see us at telford show" which is no good to me as it's miles away.

Just an alternator. Kit also comes with voltage regulator to suit. I know they do a complete self generating system and that comes with coils etc but mine is a street bike and still runs lights. They recently went social with a Facebook page and even posting comments about them for the world to see failed to get them to respond. It would appear the place is run by a guy called Peter who makes everything himself and only seems to turn up once in a blue moon.

I was going to go for the "self generating" ignition off them (after seeing it at Stafford in Oct) - for the Harris.
But after a couple of phone calls to ask some silly questions - I finally go hold of the TECH guy and he was no very helpful
So I might just give it a miss - at the think end of £500

Finally got a coherent email reply from them that answers my questions.
Gonna buy the self genny job and run horn and brake light off a small battery ,total loss

I got a small dry cell 12v from Maplins in 2009 for me Trumpet £14 (its running with a Boyer PowerBox) and still works good - but it does take a charge from the bike.
Also thought about using a modern
bicycle lights set-up - they're bright enuff to dazzle most road users

When Electrex told me about the endurance set-up i thought it was maybe the self genny with a lighting coil added, Hence the call for pic's.
I will just hook up the battery to an optimate when it's laid up.
The charge should last quite along time just running one brakelight bulb,
The horn will just be for the m,o,t guy.
