I need gearbox/crank/everything to put into a Z1 casing. Can I use any parts from a Z900 or do I need to find Z1,a,b engine parts?

Fairly sure it all drops in ? 99.9% sure?

All parts right up to mk2 will drop straight in.
All 900's are basically the same.
1000's have heavier cranks .
mk2's have a few more slight differences (mainly the crank, cam sprockets and alternator) but overall essentially the same motor.

What do you need - I have most engine internals/clutches/gearboxes/cranks etc.

Chrisu, what ever you have I probably need it. What I have at the moment is top and bottom casing, cylinder(see my other thread) and head.
Was hoping to find a doner engine but no luck so far so was going to start picking up pieces as they come up on ebay, that why I was asking what would fit. Just PM me with any pieces you have for sale.

MalmoJoe, the only engine part I know that is not interchangeable from the Z900, z1000, to the Z1, is the 4 coil hair spring, that is on the selector lever. The later lower cases have provision for this extra coil by a recess (groove), as opposed to the three coil.
