Brake Line

#1 PostAuthor: DavidZ1R » Thu Jan 19, 2012 5:44 pm

Having fitted and bled the lines on my Z250 project, the rear line is nos from Zpower, all ok, the front original cleaned up and bloody leaks on the connector, want to get a black coated line, anyone bought from Cobra from Bulgaria? or does anyone know of a supplier in UK, prefer not braided finish if possible, thanks.

David, I have a lot of success with a brake-line configuration. I have used it on both, a Z1 converted to twin disc and a Z900-A4 twin disc system.
I like to keep a bike looking pretty standard and I don't particularly like the harshness of braided lines, unless you have some classy scolloped discs and , say, Brembo callipers..
Z1Enterprises have a section on their site, that deals with these "Goodridge" black hose (103 series) lines and suitable SS brake connectors. Not expensive!
For the two lines from the splitter to the callipers, I use these above black plastic covered lines . The top line, from m/c to the splitter. I use the standard rubber.
This gives a great feel and looks great without looking conspicuously modified.
RegardZ.
