rear brake hub wear limit

hi all, was it just the z1 or did the early z1a have no wear limit indicator on the rear hub...

I have seen many Z1A's without the wear indicator. It was one of those change over Z1 to Z1A things , where they used up old stock! Although the cut off for Z1's was Z1F-20,000 many components of the Z1 went over into the Z1A. However, if restoring I would use the Z1A (wear indicator) hub.

the one i'me doing is an aug 73 z1a garn so not sure which one it should have, like you say pal i suppose it could be one or the other
