In need of a bit of help!

Got a Mikuni VM28SS carb (Z1000 MKII) where the brass pick-up tube for the choke fuel feed has sheared off.
As there is a small section of brass stub still showing in the carb body does anyone know if the brass pick-up tube is a push fit or screw in ?
Or has anyone had a similar problem & managed to come up with a solution or repair?

Or failing that has anyone got a good No.1 VM28SS carb body that they would want to sell?

they are a push fit. i would try taping a small torx screw driver bit into what is left of the tube then heat around the tube with a heat gun. then twist it gently until it comes out.

Hi,

I don't have a picture but I can try to explain.

Remove the float bowl & the Brass pick-up tube is sticking out directly beneath the the choke plunger I'm told that it's a push fit into the carb body
