I have my KZ1100 cam cover casting on the bench and would like to posh it up a bit if it doesn't take too long. It has lots of nooks and crannies and could take a week or two to polish by hand. I have a Dremel-type tool and some of the common small emery rings, which are far too coarse.
Where can I buy a few small, kinder, bands or discs that will get into the corners and bring the finish up to Solvol level?
If the only way is to spend hours and a lot of patience, then I won't start the job.

Get a polishing kit from axminster power tools.
come with 4in wheels and waxes.you will need a smaller wheel for the in side.
once you get it you will be polishing everything.so easy

I strongly advise getting it vapour blasted first as this will give you
a clean base metal to start with, as any "black corrosion" that is in the corners will be difficult to remove and will always come back
and get a swansdown mop as well as this will really flow in the corners.
And if you want it to really gleam get some vienna lime powder as this will
remove any polishing compound residue and finger prints.

How do you use the Vienna lime? Wet/dry?

Dry keef, get it wet mate and it turns to a gooey paste

Thanks for the replies. I have got 4/5" buffing wheels but wanted a source of 1" or 2" diam softish wheels to get into the corners. There are marks in there which need taking out with, say, 720 grit and finer. I have never before heard of black corrosion but it is a good description of what there is there. And it comes back!
The best thing for me is to fit a spring all the way round the bottom of the petrol tank and fit a nice little chintz curtain, with swallows and a willow pattern.
I wish I had spare cash to pay for a proper job but I have been spending almost continually on this trike for nearly three years.

I got some felt tips from this mob in hong kong, pretty cheap and seemed ok if you wish to purse the Dremel but like the rest of the guys I suggest sending them out or at least getting some mops and a polisher set up
