Plating, Blasting or Polishing in Yorkshire

#1 PostAuthor: LTD Project » Tue Jan 10, 2012 5:00 pm

Now I know we have someone called Mikey in Bristol that could take care of some of this but before some of my parts start doing a 600 mile round trip I thought I might ask if anyone has had good service of any of these three skills in North/West Yorkshire.

Local services for local people.

Areas that are most convenient to me are York, Harrogate, Leeds and Bradford.

If anyone can make any recommendations......?

Anyone used Able Blast Cleaning of Spofforth?

Plating at Allenchrome on Pocklington Industrial Estate - Vapour blasting at a place on the Raylor Centre, Hull Road, York, I can give you directions if you're interested. Used both of them and happy with the results, I do the polishing myself.
Let me know if you want any more detail.
What we got here, is failure to comunicate.

Parts are often 'Relayed' about the country by willing members.

If you want to use Mikey, then get your parts to Hobbo, who I'm sure will be willing to relay them to Donnington in a couple of weeks, where he can give 'em to me & I'll relay 'em back to Mikey in 'Sunny Bristol'.

Alternatively you can pack 'em up & courier them with someone like www.interparcel.com for between £10 & £20 depending on what speed of servive & what level of insurance you want.

I don't think you'll find better value/quality/service than Mikey, & no, he's not paying me to say this!

However, should Mikey offer me additional discount, it would be rude to turn it down!
