hi all, was wondering if any of you guys have fitted a roller clutch pusher to your zed 9's or thous, if you have, my question is, do you have to do any mods to the pressure plate, or is it a straightforward swap for the old part?
thanks for any info, tricky.
p.s the type i would use would be the ones you can get from debbens.

Tricky and Roscoe, I've seen these kits. As I see it, the mushroom piece is replaced by an aluminium piece and a hardened steel washer is fitted, then the radial bearing .... then another hardened washer.
I can't see what holds that last washer in place when the clutch has free play.
Won't it just fall or skew in that position?
RegardZ.

Never had a problem and all my Zeds run needle bearing pushers. The pressure plate does have a slight recess (where the nose of the pusher fits) which helps hold it all in place.

I think they may even be standard fittment to some engines :?:

hi garn, i was wondering that myself, i think when the cluch spring bolts are done up, there is not enough gap between the mushroom and the plate, so nothing can drop off or down, maybe the set up/clearance is different?
can anyone that has fitted one enlighten us as to how it works?
bye for now, tricky.
