Z1100 head query

Anyone know what the significance of a letter 'A' stamped inside the exhaust and inlet ports of the Z1100 head? The head should be from a Z1100 A3 shafter!
If my memeoryserves me, all the 1100 heads were the same.
Tthey only detuned the shafties by the exhaust and carbs.
I could be wrong but I bought many 1100 heads for my drag bike and not caring what they origionated from.
