Rickman Z1 frame or Seeley CB750 or what ???

#1 PostAuthor: spondonges » Wed Dec 07, 2011 1:02 pm

One of the old boys that goes up to my local bike meet every wednesday bought this along as I got talking to him about Zeds. He bought it many years ago in a job lot of stuff and dont know what it's for. He's hoping it might be a Meriden Triumph frame.
We're not sure if it's a Rickman or Seeley but given the width of the downtubes I reckon it's for a big four cylinder at least..
What do the experts on here think ? as he's looking to sell it and I wouldnt mind putting an offer to him if it's for a Zed...

I'd rather be riding my Z1 thinking about God than sitting in a church thinking about my Z1..

Looks like the Kawasaki one, but not sure if I'd buy it. Have a very close look at the frame down tubes just below the head stock where the repair works been carried out. Looks like the down tubes have cracked and been repaired. Unless you know some one really good at frame repairs I'd have serious thoughts about it.

Rickman - as Iain says looks like the down tubes have been repaired. Maybe H**** as there's an H stamped on the headstock, either way I would not bother due to the general condition and repair.
