Any tips / tricks on removing the fork leg upper guide bush ? There is no mention of how to in the workshop manual. The manual says to use the old bush and the driver tool to insert the new one so I expect Dremeling it out is out of the question. Please dont tell me to warm the leg in the oven as its just been freshly powder coated.

Pasc,I'll try and have a butchers at the drawing in the manual as I'm not too sure what your trying to remove.
You've had the fork bottoms a.k.a. fork sliders powder coated and from memory there should be nothing in there when you strip the forks as the damper rod, bush, guide, etc is all in the chrome fork stantion :?:
But I'll double check tomorrow and get back to you.

Jack, at the top of the slider there is a bush with another one at the bottom of the stanchion. The bush at the bottom of the slider is no problem as it has a split and simply slides off the stanchion. The bush at the top of the slider is driven in to place. While assembling the forks yesterday I noticed about 0.75 mm play between the stanchion and the slider (measured at the top of the tube). New bushes ahould sort it out if I can get the upper bush out.
