Hi all
Want to replace the GPZ 900 rear wheel on my Z1000 A1 with something larger. I have a mechamex swinging arm on theree, so any ideas as to what might fit (with a spacer or two etc) would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

What width have you inside adjuster to inside adjuster?

I don't think they do much BIGGER wheels than 19"
Sorry, just had to reply with that "daft" comment.
A good way to go is Bandit 600 gear - front end needs a stem swap but that stuff is real cheap, and the 160 rear wheel is nice and fairly hassle free to fit

There is about 7inches between the swinging arm to the brake caliper bracket.
Bandit 600 may seem the way to go though.
Cheers

I just measured up the 4.5 Suzuki wheel (160 tyre) which came out of my 1000R - as has been said on here before the Suzuki three spokers are about the narrowest across the hub. This measures about 8 and a half inches from outside sprocket spacer to outside disc face the caliper hanger takes up about another inch. Going by that you'll be going well to get a narrower four and a half to fit that arm, short of going to spoke wheels with a Z1000 A1/A2 hub and lacing on what you like. Good job too but not a cheap option....
