Anyone fitted Dyna Coils to their MarkII?
Can anyone tell me which Dyna Coils are correct with For a Z1000 MKII with the original Kawasaki electronic ignition?
So far I've been given conflicting info as follows:

Dynojet UK say 1.5 Ohm coils with the existing ballast resistor

PDQ say 2.2 Ohm coils (not sure whether that's without or without ballast resistor)

Z1 Enterprises say best option is 3 Ohm colis without the ballast resistor

Help ?

I think most on here will agree with green 3 ohm coils, no resistor.

All those options will work, I have used 2.2 with ballast resistor and no problems.

Cost wise go for the 3 OHM without resistor,
You should get a slightly better spark with the 1.5 and resistor

One of the reasons we recommend the 3 ohm coils, if the factory electronic ignition fails, you can then use a Dyna-S. If you have the 1.5 or 2.2 ohm coils you can't...

That makes a lot of sence - Good point!

As long as the ohms rating is the equivalent or higher than std any will do.
