try swapping the bulbs over from left to right, also check earths on left side, odds on it is a bad contact somewhere. do you have a hazzard switch, if so do they all work on hazzard?

Wont flash

If uk Kevs suggestions dont work it may be the flasher unit m8.

Does the idiot light illuminate on the panel? If that bulb has gone tha might explain it.

Check the LH bulbs, one will either be a lower wattage, should be 21w, or one will just be a friday afternoon bulb that isn't drawing the right current. It isn't the flasher unit or the tell-tale, as they work the same in either side circuit.

High resistance cable / earth / connector / switch contacts swap the bulbs around first ( the easy option) and see if that works, if not disconnect flasher unit and check resistances to bulb earths which also need to be disconnected.

Alternatively replace the flasher unit with a NE555 chip / relay and chuck flasher unit in bin.

Clymer manuals are good, [much, much better than Haynes].
But if you check out E-bay, genuine ones come up for sale, i sold one on there a while ago, fetched just over ?20, so worth looking/waiting.
