CAM CAP BOLTS

Can anyone please tell me the length for the bolts that hold the camshaft

caps on a Gpz1100b2 :?:

I`ve just noticed mine are different sizes ! :roll:

some are 45mm and some 50mm , also some plain tops and some No7 :yay

What should they be ?

I assume the longer ones have been put in at sometime to get round the dodgy threads ! :roll:

SockPuppet, as you say, these bolts have often been extended "to get around dodgy threads." It is often a lot easier then "helicoiling". There is a fair bit of meat under these bolts and they can often be cleverly drilled and tapped to accept these longer bolts.
I have found the use of hex socket headed bolts give a better feel, when "torquing up" and avoid stripping these threads.
