reg/rec number needed

does anyone have the correct number on the side of reg/rec for a z1r.ie sh32-12 3.9.shindengen.

cheers geoff ,i have two here with different numbers and wires,one off my z1r beasty,and a spare,the trouble is my bike is cooking the battery dry,so want to try a different one.before looking at what else would cause it to do this.

Hillbilly, I've found, if its a Shindengen and it has 6 wires it will do as regulator/rectifier. Be careful it is not just a small "rectifier only" species.
Check your existing item, with charged battery, whether it exceeds 14.5 volts at approx 4000 RPM.

H**** Superdream and a few other models are SH232, Kawasaki MkII are SH230-12C either will work (or just about any other type that is 12v and has voltage sensing). As Garn says should only reach 14.7 v @ 4 / 5K

rich,i think i must have a wet dream reg/rec,with 232 start number,only trouble is ,its got two leads coming out it.three yellow,and red/black/green.the other that came off my beasty bike has one six pin plug. :shock:
