Harris Exhaust for Z1000 MKII

Can anyone out there help?
Just purchased a brand new Harris 4:1 system - I was told that it fits all Z1000's up to & including the MKII.

The problem is thats it's not possible to tigthen up the nuts on the exhaust flanges at the head - the flange plates are too close to the head & so by the time the exhaust nuts are tightened right up there is approx a 4mm gap.

Anyone got any ideas or had the same problem?

Hi,
Thanks for your advice but as far as I'm aware the Harris header pipe design eliminates the collets (I have a standard collet set & don't see how they could fit anyway)

Take the studs out and replace with hex bolts, or if your not happy with that drill out some stainless nuts and use them as spacers behind the exhaust nuts and washers :!:
