cam timing.........help !!!

being a complete tit expecting an ebay item to be right

i went ahead and started stripping the top end off my z,
but the 'bargain' ebay gpz1100 manual has actually arrived as a gpz750 book instead
has anyone got a pic or link showing how the timings sposed to be on a z1100R please ??

There's two cutout on the cams that should face outside, when piston #1 is at tdc.

ok, remembering a thread before the melt down about some timing marks being somewhat 'iffy' i thought id have a quick check on mine,
is the T mark sposed to be TDC or is it a few degrees before ??

Don't rely on the timing marks. Use a dead stop tool in number 1 cylinder and degree wheel on the end of the crank to get it right. If you must use timing marks then T is the closest.
